As we look towards the rest of 2016, we are interested to see what spring beauty trends will be forecasted for the upcoming 2016 season. PANTONE has just recently announced the trend color for 2016. Well actually, for the very first time they have chosen two colors. “Serenity” and “Rose Quartz” are subdued shades of pink and blue pastel that invoke feelings of relaxation and calmness. While these colors united were once considered a poor combination, we have seen them used in collaborations so often that they have transformed into an excepted duo. PANTONE hopes to see these colors continue to be used in combination rather than apart. This is a change of pace for PANTONE as bold hues have dominated the color of the year since 2000. Are you excited for this soothing and comforting color combo?

As 2016 makeup trend, shades of blue are a must for eye makeup. In New York Fashion Week, a lot of popular brands such as Marc Jacobs, 3.1 Phillip Li and Bibhu Mohapatra had blue eye shadows and eye liner on their models on runway.  Blue is not a natural looking make-up color unlike pink or browns.  Wear it as a point color for your daily routine.  Marc Jacobs did this in the show in New York.  Also, adding grey and black can take your look from the runway to the after party be creating a smokey look. Pink is important color for 2016 spring and summer makeup. Shades of pink can be  applied to both eye shadow and cheeks.  Peach and Coral hues are offered as a feeling color referring to “happiness” and “femininity”.  Wearing pinks are intended to look natural when in use and not come off as harsh or too neon or dark.
