Cranberry sauce is a must have for holiday dinners. Here is our favorite recipe – enjoy!
• 12-ounce bag of fresh cranberries
• 1 cup sugar
• Orange zest
• Lemon zest
• 1 cup of water
• ½ tsp of cinnamon
• 1 tsp of vanilla
Add all ingredients to the pan and cook over low heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the cranberries are soft. This should take about 10 minutes for berries to pop and sauce thicken. Let cool for an hour. Transfer to bowl and wrap with plastic wrap or place lid on top. Store cranberry sauce in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve with meal. Sauce can be stored in refrigerator for 3-4 weeks or up to 6 months in the freezer.
