In an era when people are becoming more and more concerned with substances such as GMOS, pesticides, and other compounds that they are constantly being exposed to, botanicals have become increasing popular in the skin care industry. Botanicals – ingredients that are derived from, herbs, roots, flowers, fruits, leaves or seeds – are the perfect solution for a health conscious public that is wary of all the unnatural ingredients used in a wide range of popular products. The reason for this increased popularity is that many botanicals have been proven to promote healthy skin without possessing all of the artificial ingredients that can actually strip skin of its vitality and glow. At Apothederm we use many of the most popular botanicals as the basis for our products.
Here are some botanicals that have repeatedly been shown to promote healthy skin.
